Professional Experience

Louize has 20 years of training and experience working as a psychologist specialising in relationships in multiple industries from the corporate and private industries, to the creative industries, to the not-for-profit sector, and from Dublin to London and Ohio to LA.

To address the suicide crisis and the lack of effective mental health care in Ireland, Louize acted as a purveyor for mental health systems change through her work in the not-for-profit organisation Jigsaw, The National Centre for Youth Mental Health over the course of 8 years, supporting the leveraging government, national and international stakeholders to establish a brand new effective system of care for young people and young adults.

Louize serves as an advisor to multi award winning social enterprise A Lust for Life and their range of mental health initiatives, specifically including programme development and implementation in schools and in communities. Frequent liaising with government, public and services providers is also a key aspect of this role.

Louize co-founded PRISM Therapy Online and The Blink Effect, two start up companies that provide innovative ways to connect to wellbeing support in Ireland. She is currently building a similar system of care called MBODY by combining mental and physical fitness in the US, and the origin site is in Texas.

For 5 years, Louize was engaged by Key Assets as a consulting professional for assessments pertaining to child protection cases which included cognitive assessments and behavioural interviews with families and children. Part of her work included reporting on psychological and behavioural aspects inside of criminal investigations which concerned addiction and abuse in families.

Louize provides consultancy, support and relational guidance for clients globally, working with a broad range of presenting issues and symptoms, through the strengthening of personal and professional relational intelligence.

Key Publications

Louize Carroll has contributed to several significant publications in the field of youth mental health in Ireland. Notably, as a programme development officer in Jigsaw at the time, she was involved in the development of the My World Survey, the first national study of youth mental health in Ireland. This extensive survey assessed risk and protective factors among young people aged 12–25, providing a comprehensive overview of mental health trends in this demographic.

Louize has been delivering keynotes on relational intelligence to corporate organisations in Ireland and in the US for 6 years and is currently working with Irish national health insurance company Vhi to deliver keynote talks to a variety of Irish clients.
